The purpose of the WIETE International Academic Advisory Committee (WIETE-IAAC) is to advise the WIETE Director on academic and organisational matters. A new Executive of the WIETE-IAAC has been established, with Professor Adinarayana Kalanidhi, the Vice-Chairman of the Commonwealth Science and Technology Academy for Research, Chennai, India, and the former Vice-Chancellor of Anna University in Chennai, India, taking on the role of President of the WIETE-IAAC.
Prof. Kalanidhi will be assisted by three Vice-Presidents: Professor Emeritus, Colin U. Chisholm of Glasgow Caledonian University, Glasgow, Scotland, UK; Professor David W.S. Tai, Dean of College of Management, Hungkuang University and President of the Association of Taiwan Engineering Education and Management, Taichung, Taiwan, ROC; and Professor Sławomir Wiak, Dean of the Faculty of Electrical, Electronic, Computer and Control Engineering at the Technical University of Łódź, Łódź, Poland.
Ms Dianne Q. Nguyen, Project Coordinator, School of Information Technology at Monash University, Melbourne, Australia, will continue her role as the Academic Secretary of the WIETE-IAAC.
